He participated in football in high school and college. Meyer then joined Ohio State University and graduated with a master’s degree in sports administration in 1988. He then attended the University of Cincinnati, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1986. Meyer joined and studied at Saint John High School, graduating in 1982. Urban is among the three coaches together with Nick Saban and Pop Warner to win a major college football national championship at two Universities. He guided the Buckeyes to their first Big Ten Conference title in 2014, during his time and the program’s eighth national championship.
